As part of a complete renovation of this library, two interior mezzanines were constructed to provide additional space and connect isolated sections of the second floor. A new elevator was installed to access this space. To improve staff visibility, interior partitions were removed and a glass railing was built around the upper level. Skylights and a mural by Aberdeen artist Erik Sandgren enliven the interior space.
